Stephen Pohlmann, together with his wife, Bianca, planted Riverside Community Church on 10th October 2010. Stephen and Bianca also have two young boys, Levi and Nate. Stephen has experience as a geologist as well as being a worship pastor before he felt the call to start a new church in the South of Johannesburg. Together, Stephen and Bianca are passionate about the local church being a thriving community of believers, actively engaging the world and enjoying God.
Craig Wilcock, along with his wife Inez, joined Riverside near the beginning of 2016. They have two, kids Aaron and Edith. Having served as a youth pastor in Cape town for nearly ten years, they answered God’s call on their lives to move to the South of Jhb. Craig has a real passion for raising up disciple making disciples.
Jean joined the Riverside staff in 2012 as the Operations Director. She has a B.Comm in Psychology and Marketing & Advertising Management. She is currently studying Ancient Near East & Biblical World Studies. Jean has served on the staff of several churches as the youth & children’s workers, and has also worked for various parachurch organisations arranging conferences, running events and doing leadership training. In 2021 Jean published a devotional entitled Acts and the Exodus Come Alive, under the pen name of JS Mack.
She is passionate about helping the Bible come alive for people through devotionals and teaching courses that provide a deeper understanding of the biblical world. Her heart is to help people explore the richness of God’s Word in its original context and to thereby deepen their walks with Him.
Jodi Dyers, along with her husband Darryl, first came to Riverside in 2012. She is now our Children’s Ministry director. They have two young boys, Nathan and Caleb. Jodi has been involved in a number of churches in the area’s of youth, children, music/worship and creative arts ministry. Jodi also served on the BYSA ministries team and staff. She then completed her theological studies in 2009. She has a great love for kids and a deep desire to see them become fully devoted followers of Christ. Jodi is also passionate about developing and growing young leaders as they serve in the Kingdom.
